ROADS FULL OF SIGHTS

Looking for a scenic drive? Wirt County has over 400 miles of state maintained "back roads" ready for you to explore. Many are accessible by regular automobiles, but there are also many that are more challenging and will require a well-equipped 4x4 or atv to access. With so much to see, you won't be bored any time soon!

RIVERS OF EXCITEMENT

Wirt County is home to over 50 miles of rivers, and many many more miles of smaller streams. You can find at least 20 different game fish here - from crappie to muskie. The Hughes River has been recognized as a premier smallmouth bass fishery, and the Little Kanawha it is celebrated by the WV DNR as one of the state's premier multi-species warmwater angling rivers.
